Membership Requirements

Before membership is granted to any practitioner, organisation, course or certification body, the following criteria must be met:

For Practitioners -

1. A qualification or certification that is recognised by the association as being at the level of ‘hypnotist’.

2. Must have current professional indemnity insurance and any other insurance that is necessary to operate as a practitioner within the jurisdiction that the practitioner plans to operate in. Must also maintain said insurance whilst a member of the association, and immediately notify the association if any such insurance ceases.

3. Must comply with each section of our Code of Ethics at the time of being granted membership, and must continue to comply with each section of the Code of Ethics whilst a member of the association. Must immediately notify the association if any potential breach of the Code of Ethics has been made.

4. Agree not to hold the International Hypnosis Association (interha.org) responsible for any act done by the association or any of its members.

5. Agree that the International Hypnosis Association (interha.org) may dismiss membership at any time, without refund of any membership fees, without warning, notice or reason.

For Organisations, Courses and Certification Bodies -

1. All teachers within any course must hold a qualification or certification that is recognised by the association as being at the level of ‘hypnotist’.

2. Must hold the necessary insurance to fulfill the roles of the organisation, course or certification body. Must also maintain said insurance whilst a member of the association, and immediately notify the association if any such insurance ceases.

3. Must comply with each section of our Code of Ethics at the time of being granted membership, and must continue to comply with each section of the Code of Ethics whilst a member of the association. Must immediately notify the association if any potential breach of the Code of Ethics has been made.

All practitioners, organisation, courses and certification bodies are subject to membership fees, as set out in the membership fees section.

In addiction to meeting all the above requirements, the association will manually review and either approve or disapprove each application.
